Privacy

This website is the photography portfolio of Mykhailo Zhurba (Ruina Photos). This page explains, in plain language, what happens to your data when you visit it.

What this website collects

Simply browsing collects nothing that identifies you. The site uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and visitors never receive a cookie. (The only cookie on the site keeps me signed in to my own booking dashboard.) Fonts and scripts are served from the site itself, so your browser does not contact other companies just to display it.

If you switch between the light and dark theme, that choice is saved in your own browser so the site remembers it next time. It never leaves your device.

Booking enquiries

If you use the Book form, I receive the email address you enter and anything else you choose to add: your name, a preferred date, the type of shoot and a message. I use this only to reply about your shoot.

  • It is stored in a database run by Cloudflare, which hosts this site.
  • The emails about your enquiry — the reply you receive and the notification I receive — are sent through Resend, an email service.
  • To stop the form being abused, a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address is stored with the enquiry. Your actual IP address is not kept.

Ask me at any time and I will delete your enquiry.

Hosting

Like any website, the host that serves these pages (Cloudflare) may keep technical server logs, such as your IP address, the page you requested and the time. This is handled under its own privacy policy, and I do not use this information.

The Instagram and Facebook icons are ordinary links. Those services only receive information about you if you choose to click them, and their own privacy policies then apply.

Photos of people

If you appear in a photo on this site and would like it removed, message me and I will take care of it. All photographs are © Mykhailo Zhurba; please ask before using them.
